I was telling you guys last week about the Peroni Collaborazioni project I'm involved in.
Above you can see a video in which I met the creative Kinga Varga and in which we discussed a little about the clothing article we have to create.
We have to think about making an object that embodies the Italian spirit and elegance and it should be suited for the after ski party but it also has be practical so it can be worn when skying too.
Our creation will be knitted because it's Kinga's signature, sensual, very feminine and versatile. I'm sure that you will love it!
Now, we have to do the researching work and decide on the colors and materials but that you will see in our next meeting.
Here you can see all the three teams. I can't wait to see what they are making too.
Follow our adventures on Peroni' site., Facebook, Tumblr and on High Street Cardigans
Arrivederci,
Ana, the Italian diva

I found this yesterday morning. I am among the 16 coolest young people in Bucharest. This is Biggggg.
Now, here's how I looked like the other day. I was sick and it was not a good day for science darlings.
You know what they say...in bad times you'll see the light. You'll understand why when you hear my last words at the end of the video.
.
I know, I know, I have the awesome-est hairdo. I think that too. It's because of Robert ,
my amazing hairstylist (yes, he's the one in the pics).
Although I started with the final result picture you can see the reason why Robert is on the blog today.
Remington Romania sent over this hair ironing plate for me to test. And I would have done that if I weren't a total mess when it comes to being handy with fixing my hair.
So who else that the favorite hairstylist of the stars and mine to give the most certified opinion?!? Therefore, yesterday morning, we tested Remington's new Keratin Therapy Pro hair plate.
Below you can see some of the pictures from the making of process.
This was yesterday, today my hair is exactly like this, without being greased or toneless.
So Remington, here are Robert's conclusions about your new hair plate:
- it doesn't rip of the hair springs
- gives a special shine
- protects your hair with that ceramic capping
- it's very easy to work with
- it's design is very user friendly
As for me, if Robert says that about it, I must agree cause he always knows best when it comes to extravagant and healthy hair.
After I already elected the winner who got the invitation at Avanpremiere last night I got this anonymous message:
I am sorry it was already elected, I couldn't get in touch with you because you didn't leave me any contact information, I would have took you with me at the Gala. If you somehow read this please send me an email and I'll make sure you meet Iris Serban or any designer whom you admire.
I can do that and if you really are that passionate about the gala and about Romanian design I think you really deserve to meet hem.

Dragii mei,
Sunt extrem de fericita (da,da, scriu in romana, not important) pentru ca am ocazia sa va ofer aceasta sansa.
E atat de decadenta nu-i asa?
Ana

Update: 12.07.2012
Dragele mele, Irina si Ovidiu au ales colajele castigatoare. Este Sorina si si-a inscris colagul pe Ruffles for Breakfast hosted magically by Ioana.
Va imbratisez cu drag si va tin pumnii pentru urmatoarele concursuri de pe High Street Cardigans.com
Felicitari Sorina!!!

I'm sure you've wondered at least once what goes on a set.
When I wasn't doing this I did and Inever imagined that it implies such a big amount of hard work behind that glamorous feeling.
Well, what I imagined was 10 per cent of the amount of work you really have to put in when doing this.
You have to find a theme, research for it, research for locations, find the means and props to put it in practice, find that hair stylist and make up artist that understand your vision, spend lots of hours in traffic, endless designer showrooms and endless (yes, again) hours finding the right clothes and returning them back.
In the pics you can see me preparing a shoot for the uber cool magazine All Hollow which you will see soon.
I felt like such a glamorous working girl in this M12 blazer from Molecule F.
You know what? At the end of the day, after all the work is done and you get in your bed with your feet hurting like hell, there's one thing that really gives you big satisfaction, that the women participating in this become true divas - confident, powerful, feminine, glamorous, cultivated and beautiful.
And you, the ones that will buy the magazine, after you'll see this, I can assure you that you will want to be like them too.
?
Because being like this gives you that confidence that helps you make your dreams come true and conquer the world.
Ana,
Director at the Diva factory
Thank you to Carol Parc Hotel who is always an amazing host. You;ll see more of the hotel and it's magnificent interiors soon.
.
I have an invitation for 2 at this Fashion Event so if you wanna come let me know in a comment which designer are you anxious to see.
See you there.

Buying audio books is such a good idea when you spend lots of time in your car.
Now, you might think that I am laying in bed today.
Well, quite the opposite. I have a magazine styling tomorrow and I'm not even half done. I'm a nerve wreck. That's why I considered it suitable to take a look at my immortalized relaxing moments from last week.
Sometimes, looking and remembering some quiet moments I lived works like an instant xanax for me. But not today, oh no, today, I'm gonna run like hell to find the perfect noir outfits.
As for you, if you are luckier than me and you are really having a relaxing day, just one suggestion if I may:
Take a good book and go to a tea shop (A TEA SHOP not Starbucks or some loudly/glam spot), order a white tea and a little quince comfiture like in the Belle Epoque era and enjoy your read quietly and alone. And if possible walk your way there.
.
I'm sure you have seen that big, blue banner under my header this week.
I like to think that we - you guys and me - are a different kind of persons. That we love fashion and jewelry and clothes but this isn't the only thing that defines us. That we are also sensitive persons, educated, respectful and not selfish human beings.
What it happens in the world right now are not positive things, people become more bitter and mean to each other, everyone is fighting only for his own good while tolerance and doing something for the people in need became almost a dream.
In these times I think it's very important to not forget our humanity and help any way we can to re-establish the harmony of this world.
This first campaign is one of the few that you will see on High Street Cardigans I said "yes" to when asked to be a part of. I will most certainly do many of these kind of activities because being kind and giving back should be on everyone's agenda.
It costs you only 2 euro (that cup of Starbucks you buy to take a picture of it) and you can help a child who needs this and has no one to turn to because he's abandoned or his parents are to poor.
It beaks my heart seeing those children and I'm not a mother yet, but I want to become one someday. Think about that. Think that we might be in that position, to not be able to feed or supply our new born with the things he needs.
Be kind - cause one day, people won't remember your outfits, they will just remember your actions.
And so that you understand that what I've just told you is not a drama, it's just a little action that we all must do. Here's something you can do in the same time:
Wearing my glamorous 1930 earrings from VintageBazaar.ro
© Serban Cristea
Dear God/Universe,
Thank you for inventing jewelry, statement jewelry to be exact. Thank you also for inventing the term "vintage" and thank you for Ana - the owner of Vintage Bazaar.ro who always keeps her best options for me.
I always adored them, ever since I was a child and my grandmother would give me her broken ones to play with. Their sparkle, their almost forbidden beauty and the stories they could tell...Ohhh, so decadent. And they remained until this day my favorites when it comes to womanly things.
Shoes are not my obsession, I love clothes but only a certain kind and I can't buy cheap bags but when it comes to shiny, new jewelry...well, thank God for my years of education cause if not I most certainly would transform myself in the Bridezilla corespondent for jewelry - Jewelzilla. Ok, ok, I'm loosing it.
But I'm sure you must relate to that magical feeling of finding a jewel that makes your eyes sparkle and you mind tells you that you are the chosen one, you found it.
You know something? For me that moment when I found a piece that charms me and my jewelry collection (which I'm very proud of, maybe I'll show it to you someday) are among my best little life experiences.
After reading this it's easy to guess what's my Snobbish Advice of the week isn't it?
Find the jewels that make you feel special, search for those special ones, try to buy the ones that don't look cheap, don't wear them all at once cause the focus will not be on you and we still want us to wear jewels and clothes not the other way around and most of all, let them tell you a fairytale, your fairytale.
You don't need to have tons, it's enough to have a few pieces that can spice up you outfits but those few pieces have to be spectacular.
See? You can help other and be glamorous in the same time. How amazingly cool is that?
See you tomorrow with more exciting news.
Ana

A few days ago I met Kinga Varga, my better half of our Peroni Collaborazioni team.
She made my day sunnier with her positive attitude. She's so calm and polite. I am telling you this because you already know that she is the first luxury knitwear from Romania.
It is always such a delight to discover that people who create great value have also great characters.
As I told you last week, our task is to design a versatile piece of clothing that can be worn when skying and at the after sky party.
Kinga and I share the same vision regarding to it and I'm sure it will turn out very elegant and chic.

Arrivederci,

I don't know ok? I don't know why I hold my hand like that in this last pic. I guess I wanted to officially say "hi" to my imaginary friend.
Have you ever thought of this? Have you ever thought that you can enjoy life and feel ohh so much more glamurous if you start enlarging your lifestyle choices?
I for one, I got bored of making such a big statement of the fact that I have a certain lifestyle. I sometimes do, I'm no hypocrite but doing it all the time bores me because I much more than that. And you are much more than that so stop aspiring to the things that might not make you happy and try to enjoy the ones that can help you enrich your life experience and brighten your day, like being a tourist in your own city.
I'm sure there are many places that you know and pass by without trying to find their story. I constantly find little places that speak so beautifully about wise people, about love and kindness, about manners, about enjoying little things in life and about staying positive. All these might sound like a cliche but if you think at them without prejudgement you'll see how they can change your life perspective.
Now, I'm not telling you to visit The House of People cause I'm sure you did, I was using it to portray my idea, but try to visit that memorial building that you see everyday on your way to work or that old library, maybe you'll find a treasure book and that would be so sunny and fairy tale like.
Btw, that Karen Walker sunglasses that I wore as part of "The Glam Diaries Project" really won my heart. Which reminds me, if you want to drink a glamorous coffee visit SunglassCurator's head office. I assure you it will beat the nicest bistro.
About the skirt
Serban bought it for me from an old lady we met while traveling through the country. I adore it. It's so timeless chiccc.
Ana,
The little tourist
