In between kidney crisis, when I stupidly thought they had passed, we went on an autumnal picnic.
Since I'm an autumn lover this became a tradition through the years.
It's quite romantic and peaceful (yes, I like these kinds of activities too, what did you expect? A castle gets boring form time to time). This is a simple and easy to reach activity so I strongly suggest you guys try it.
On my way to this lovely picnic place I stopped at SunglassCurator headquarters to say "hi" to Roxana and Mihaela. The girls suggested I should wear these Sunday Somewhere sunglasses cause going to a picnic is so summerish and the name of this brand strongly suggests that.
It was a peaceful and warm Sunday.
By the way, I hope you've noticed the Gaga touch - my Wagner porcelain, personalized tea cup.
You know, Serban and I wanted to visit New York this past weekend. Booked our tickets from two weeks ago and cloud nine was my only place to stay when waiting for trip.
But a few days ago we heard about Sandy and we cancelled. My disappointment is nothing compared with the horror moments my friends who live there went through. Let's send them some positive energy. It's always wise to remember that there are people in this world who are going through harder times than you so not having the budget to buy that new Saint Laurent dress does not mean that your world will come to an end.
I am still sick, I have to go to another doctor so see you soon.
.
The weather!!! Ohh how I love the weather!
I'm still a little bit sick but at least I'm suffering dressed in my new Camilla and Marc dress.
Now, let me tell you a little about the experience I had last Friday at the event I chose to go and seek some new City Rush faces, as part of the Avon CITY RUSH campaign I was telling you about last week.
I picked Origami Sound White in Control
Control Club is maybe the most famous place in Bucharest when it comes to the underground scene. And I love their parties and the people whom they chose to play music there.
I know, I know, you think that a lady like, snobbish person like myself does not fit there. And you are certainly right, I don't. And don't have any desire to fit in. I go there because I love the music and because I hang out with my friends.
It always amuses me how they raise their eyebrows when seeing me dressed all diva like, with my high heels on and a cigarette holder in my hand. I don't mind, I'm too confident too change the way I dress just because other people might not like it.
I'm a convinced militant for having and building your own personality so if mine is a sophisticated kitten one (I am sick and in bed, I need my moral up in the air, bare with me) I'm not gonna give it up that easily.
Well, since Avon asked me to discover some other girls who are on the same page as me at this event- Vamp-ish like - I took my tools (as in the mighty Iphone) and started to search.
Here are my finds:
I think Ioana, Adina and Andra truly emphasis the lady like, edgy, sensual spirit. Don't you?
You didn't forget about the CONTEST did you?
Let's recap the steps for everything to go smoothly:
Each week four of you (one from each category), the ones who have the biggest number of LIKES will win a City Rush kit.
Good luck!

My little kittens,
I am forced to interrupt our daily adventures and today's It's not Monday, it's MORODAN day on Molecule F.com due to some health problems I was forced to pass through in the last days.
The good news is that I'm on the verge of recovering. Or at least I hope so.
It was the most terrifying experience I had in my life.
The pain was so deep and violent that I was about to loose my rationality.
I'm in bed now, relieved that it kinda passed, I hope.
Ah, I've found something that I wanna show you.
Some little glimpses captured with my vintage phone camera that Alex edited for me.
It made me laugh seeing it.
By the way, I have a surprise for you. I'll tell you about it soon.
That's it for today. I have to lay down.
This whole experience made me realize the importance of being healthy.
I mean, I never in my life had a health problem, a serious one, until now. I don't wish this to anybody so please take care. I'm not making a drama out of it, although I could (successfully), but something changed inside of me after these three days.
I don't know exactly what but I feel it, I'll let you know when I can point my finger on it.

I was brunching with some friends yesterday, discussing that Mircea Cartarescu was on the shortlist for being nominalised for the Nobel prize for literature.
Although the prizes were several days ago it still amazes me who we tend to mock and not appreciate one of our kind when something better happens to him.
That was the point when a controversial discussion got started. Pro's and Con's.
His writings were always surrounded by controversy and there are always those who say that he is just another easy, commercial writer who thinks he's a great philosopher.
I think in the first place we should be proud that a Romanian writer made the list. And maybe, just maybe, we can support this without always seeing the negative side of things.
Although I've read almost everything he wrote, I'm not the biggest fan, I loved some of them a lot and some of then less than a lot.
I will always remembered what he said:
"Few centimeters, few years, several thousands
of lei extra, extra read some books, well, things like that divide
people." Mircea Cărtărescu
Very wise and so true.
Since it was a sunny, autumn day I wore a The Row pair of sunglasses from SunglassCurator
I like The Row as a brand so getting familiar with their sunglasses was cool.
Roxana suggested this pair because she thinks it's so lady like, the color is warm and peaceful somehow, the shape is classical and the details - well, as someone said - the details are not the details, they make the design.
Make sure you have a sunny, loveable weekend.
.
He is also my friend. And I'm proud because of that cause he is one of the most wittiest persons I know.
So each time we go out for lunch he introduces me to a new musical genre or the future next big thing in the most funny, smart and comprehensible way possible. (I don't always understand what he says - I never said I was that smart)
True, I must admit, I don't understand them all but it's always good to be updated I say.
And if I'm updated, you're updated too so that we can all start talking about pro's and con's of alternative music - I for one I will always be in love with 80's disco pop.
Hello highstreetcardiganers,
This
is Red hosting a new weekly feature here on the High Street Cardigans
blog.
I'll show you undiscovered treats from the global mainstream music
scene, so when everybody is hyped about the next Psy you'll be one step
ahead.
And since we're talking about Psy (you
know him, that silly dude with his ridiculous dance), let me show the
real deal when it comes to Korean Pop.
Here's a
one year old gem from 2NE1, a Korean girl group that's been around
since 2009. This clip is a perfect example of what K-pop is all about: a
flurry of influences from bubblegum to anime, from Western superheroes
and cultural icons to otaku culture, all delivered in a glitzy, glam,
hyper-excited super-production. This is pop on steroids, and it's
awesome.
You can check it out here
Thanks for reading.
Now go google those words you didn't understand.
.
I choose carefully the people whom I let gravitate around m,e in my universe.
It's not because I'm a snob but because my universe in first of all, well, mine! And I treasure it a lot. Cause it's special (and so you should think about yours)
High Street Cardigans is an online journal about modern stories. About my universe, about unique experiences and about the special people I meet along my adventures. Because I didn't meet many of you but since you are on this blog it means that we share the same values, I want you to meet some of the people that are my friends in real life.
In the next few months, twice a month, you'll read Sanziana's advices on urban/social survival.
Why?
Because she' that woman you just love to hate. And I love that.
Why again?
Because her bitchness is backed up by the beauty of her mind, the richness of her vocabulary, her culture and education, her urban constantly updated experience, her principles and her life perspective. All in all she's always right and she always knows better.
Below you can read her first words of wisdom for the generations to come.
So take a comfy seat and start reading.
Hello there genteel people,
I’m Sanziana and, for the coming
months, I will be gracing the pages of High Street Cardigan’s blog with my
weekly ramblings on all things urban lifestyle, loveliness, coolness, and
sometime chick-lit worthy perfection.
How come I’m doing this?
It’s marvelously simple; Ana asked me to do it.
Well more likely she said I must do it and, as most of you already know, it’s
impossible to say ‘NO’ to Ana. This is actually one of the first things I
learnt about her, that and the fact that she is not a short person; she is just
concentrated awesome!
We met about one year ago at a dinner party (yes, indeed,
how very grown up of us!) thrown by a model friend of ours. We bonded over
prosecco and mutually shared bitchiness
and we’ve been friends ever since.
I’m writing this column because I AM one of those people who
are likely to know things better than you do. Because that’s just who I am, one
of those annoying persons who knows better, tells you how to do it, advice
which you ignore but finally wind up saying ‘you’re right’…hence the temporary
title of this column.
As a self-proclaimed smarty pants urbanista, I have an
opinion about anything and everything. Based on a borderline obsession with
details (I am a Virgo, so bare with me), it just adds up to me knowing a lot
about a lot of things.
So let’s skip the middle part where you go out into the
world and make some silly mistakes and let’s just focus on getting things done,
on your terms… or mine, since the latter will be better, trust me!
My first “I know better” piece of wisdom to you:
go out into
the world, flaunt your talents and your skills, and make a killing with what
you’ve got! Don’t be ashamed or embarrassed to be good at something. You have
the potential to awesome so let the world know too!
And so that you can sleep relaxed at night here's the proof that sometimes even countesses have to work.
A few months ago I styled the campaign adds for Fly Project.
The campaign photos where shoot by Lightaholic , the team I worked with was extremely professional and Tudor and Dan were the nicest.
A few weeks ago - they filmed their next video so for two whole days we haven't slept properly, we laughed, endured extreme heat, worked our asses of and hope I turned out right.
The boys were styled by Casual Monday and I used Ludmila Corlateanu, Molecule F, Raluca Mihailceanu, Murmur and many others. You will hear more about it soon.
My job was to style the girls as you can certainly noticed from the styling - they are all decadent divas.
Glamour is a state of mind so don't feel bad about for having to work. You just have to love what you are working.
Ah, before I go, I have to tell you guys a secret about me - hmm, I love gin tonic??!
Ok, ok, I'm sure you don't know this - I love playing my violin.
I shared a secret with you with a reason, you'll understand next week.
.
Did you ever have one of those moments when you just want to find that one scent that says it all?
That one scent that tells the world that you are an confident, independent, glamorous and sophisticated woman?
I bet you did. I have one each time I decide to buy a new perfume. And my olfactory sense struggles and struggles to find that little encrypted scent that does me justice. Yep, I want it to tell the world that I'm smart and sometimes bitchy (because I can and because I'm smart, as stated above) and chic and powerful and magical, active, confident, sophisticated, wise, refined, educated, well mannered and delicate and mysterious and serene, all in all a person full of qualities.
Please consider yourself lucky to have witnesses what is maybe the most arrogant phrase I have ever said/written about me in my entire life. But it's true, I'm all of those things, sure, some of those qualities need improvement but I'm a fast learner.
Anyways, getting back to the topic at hand, here's a revealing news - I found one. I found a scent that says all those things about a woman - It's Avon's CITY RUSH fragrance.
I always admired how Avon supports independent and powerful women so I'm glad that now they have a new perfume to celebrate that.
In order to celebrate this launch, Avon prepared a great, stylish adventure for you.
It's a campaign about the urban-chic, active YOU
In the next weeks you get to win a City Rush kit (a City Rush fragrance, cream and a shower creme).
How?
In the most glamorous way possible.
You know that nowadays there's an event happening every night in the city. And many of you are going to these events no?
Well, all you have to do is
- take your picture
- upload it here - under the category you feel it describes you best (optional, you can describe your photo or outfit)
Each week four of you (one from each category), the ones who have the biggest number of LIKES will win a City Rush kit.
I told you it will be fun and glamorous.
The category I represent is sensual/sexy so if you feel that way submit your picture here
- wear a black pencil skirt + a cotton nude t shirt, a statement necklace and a drop of City Rush
- nowadays we carry lots of useless stuff in our bags. Free yourself and don't wear anything. You'll be surprised how sexy you can look without any hard trying. Also I really believe in that rule - your accessories should be of a good quality, don't wear kitschy ones it will only make you look fashionable for the untrained eye.
- being sexy does not mean being loud. Be mysterious and laid back. You don't have to shout, laugh, speak lots of nonsense to be noticed. You just have to be confident. It doesn't matter if you are shy cause being shy is sexy
- feel good about yourself and always remember to act for yourself not for the social crowd you hung out with
- and most of all - be that type of sexy a sapiosexual will admire (sapiosexual = one who finds intelligence the most sexually attractive feature)
Reasons to love Mila Jovovich
- she can be the resident in Resident Evil without loosing her feminity
- she seem to never get older
- she is very sexy even when she wears her pajamas
Btw, in the campaign add I wore a Andra Andreescu dress and a Stephan Pelger necklace - I adore this outfit - it's so powerful and yet lady like
Good luck beautiful and stylish kittens!

.You know I'm not an easy person. Serban now knows I'm not an easy woman also.
Yes,yes, there's a difference between not being an easy person and not being an easy woman. Being a not easy woman is way baddddeeeer.
Now. I'm glad that Andreea Tincu made this super comfy suit cause it gave me the opportunity to feel like a little dictator. Mioara Fulga is the new IT jewelry designer. I looovve her creations so they completed my dominatrix look.
I do believe in a certain benefits of dictatorship in specified, needed situations.
Ok, don't start sending me for a public lashing yet.If the dictator means well it can easily work among the people who have no direction, like, with all do respect, our people.
Democracy is indeed a powerful tool but to use it you don't have to be just smart. You have to be wise, balanced, committed to others too and so on.
What did we do with ours? Huh?
Our country looks poorer than ever...the architecture, the infrastructure, people's lifestyle, it's all upside down.
Ok, I'll stop, just because here we don't get sad and bitter but think about it.
When we say dictatorship we automatically think of Ceausescu and that horrors but dictatorship can also direct to positive things.
Anyways, my assistant says I'm a little dictator. And yes, I prefer to be one than a sugarly girl. It always bores me when I see their real, not sugarly at all faces after I get to know them well.
