look mom...
May 19, 2010

I completely forgot to tell you...it's the headache I know...the Spanish fashion site TUESTILISTAONLINE picked me to be the subject for their "Blog Hunting" section, how cool is that???

You can read the article...or just go and visit their site, which is very cool and fashionable.

Here's what they said. See mom... watching Spanish soap operas served at something.

How cool is that?

Zara shoes , H&M skirt, some old shirt, thrift DIY blazer, Asos bag, Topshop scarf

About the title: I loved the skirt...so much that I've worn it almost everyday last winter, until one day when I decided to make a DIY project out of it...the result...complete failure(just so you know only 40 % of my projects are successful:) but I'm very persistent...duhhh, and now it looks like I'm wearing my little sister's skirt.

Ohh well, I don't have a sister so everybody already knows that there's something wrong. So I thought that people in my city staring it's not big enough...let's show it to the whole world.

Ohhh I want it back...the original version was so extremely magical...why why I'm so reckless sometimes.

Oh and so that everything should be just "perfect" I got a tremendous tonsils and my head spins with a thousand miles at hour.

I hope you people are well, please don't DIY on already good clothes, learns from the stupid ones(by this I'm referring exclusively to my idiotic person).

P.S. I'm really into thrift and vintage stores now.
I've made a bet with a friend and I said that I could dress stylish and hip from everywhere, doesn't matter it's not some label store and that you should have more creativity than money.
Guess what's the stake????

I'll tell you in the next post, don't hate me...I have to go lay down...ohh how I hate this days.

No, this is not an outfit post:)

I just wanted to share with you some pictures which I took this weekend during our wonderful trip to Sibiu, Romania. We went there to celebrate Diana's birthday (if you are in some way confused Diana is the blond one of us, with that innocent and ravishing smile).

Diana usually celebrates her birthday by visiting a new country. But this year we realized that we saw many of Europe's cities but few romanian ones, so we picked Sibiu.
And yes, it might be predictable but I fell in love with the vintage feeling of the city:) the streets , the buildings, the details which reminded me of lost times...

All in all it was a dreamy trip which showed us that we have many beautiful places that worth visiting.

We where really lucky cause this weekend was the Jazz festival in Sibiu and we where able to listen to some remarkable musicians.

Thank you Diana for taking us in an unforgettable trip, we really had a great time.
P.S. And yes the hotel was extremely/uber/super trouper fairytale like:) (I can imagine and understand that by now you people hate this word:))

How was your weekend?
Thank you so much to everybody that left comments, you guys constantly amaze me with your enthusiasm...THANK YOU SO MUCH.:)

P.S. nr. 2 Some of you asked me about the DIY blazer...I bought it from a thrift store...it was 4 sizes bigger than my size. I shortened the shoulders and the sleeves, removed the shoulder pads and cut the sleeve, after that I just added that white material on the sleeves...ohh it's harder that I thought to explain:(. The next time(because yes, I have three more that wait adjustments:)) I'll take pictures ok?

You had me at hello
May 13, 2010

Steve Madden shoes, Zara pants, Asos t-shirt, DIY blazer

Today I planned to tell you guys why I like so much affordable fashion and the reason why I mainly buy mass-market and don't share big labels on the blog.
I planned to explain why I don't write about designer collections or all kinds of trendy new stuff.

But as a romanian saying would put it...it never comes out as planned. And you know what? I couldn't be more happier...why...ohhh because I have something bigger and brighter to share with you guys.

So the story starts like this...woke up/late for work (yes AGAIN:()/ finally arriving at the office/ paper routine/bla bla bla/more bla's / facebook break...new message...from ...from...from, what do you mean I'm speaking nonsense people? I'm trying to explain and be accurate here...

anyway from ...from....from...ARINA VARGA

I'm not trying to explain who she is because I know that you know and it will be pointless, plus you'll say that I'm trying to be superior.

Here's the story (stay with me people, I know this is very confusing, and I know I've started another story before ok? God don't be so pesky ...me and Arina...we never met, although we live in the same little city, she just wrote to me one day saying that she likes my blog,  that was a good opportunity for me to tell her that I loooove her designs (besides the fact that I love everything she does because she is so effortlessly cool).

So you'll have to understand how amazed I was when she sent me a link to this

Here's what she said..

"She knows Fashion is Supposed to be FUN!, she is from my home-town Arad (I still can't believe it) and she is just too cool for school! Funky-fresh, cooler then cool, cold as ice and all of that!Love her style!

Words just can't describe how fascinated I am about her! So just visit High Street Cardigans Blog, to learn more about her personal style and about her! :)."

Words can't describe how happy and overwhelmed I am...

All I can say Arina is ...YOU HAD ME AT HELLO!
